Apple's Soup in Color

This was done for a large format digital printing class I took a couple years ago. My idea was to parody Warhol's Campbell's soup can paintings and use Pop Art ideas to discuss Apple as a cultural institution. While it may look like I just replaced Campbell's logo and stuff with Apple and some different colors, I actually created the Apple soup labels in Photoshop and then, using some pictures I took of modern Campbell's soup cans, made a texture map I could wrap onto a digital cans of soups in Blender 3D. Then I rendered out a straight on shot of my digital soup cans to then flatten out and manipulate in Photoshop to look more like a screen print like Warhol's. I think it turned out pretty well. I had fun coming up with the names of the different kinds of soup that could describe what Apple is culturally. If you are having trouble reading them they are Technological Soup, RAM Heavy Chowder, Cult of Apple Stew, and Hipster Bisque. My favorite is definitely Hipster Bisque for obvious reasons.

This one is a variation on the original with the colors all changed to bright colors like Warhol did too.
